-- Contributed by: sidThe swastika was not "created" by the Nazis. "Perverted" might have been a better word. The swastika has been used in Hinduism and Buddhism for hundreds of years, and as used in many other cultures for thousands of years, even prior to Christianity. In Buddhism, it is a symbol of eternity. Unfortunately, it's now become synonymous with Nazism and hatred, which is a real shame. Sorry, but I felt the need to clear that up.
-- Contributed by: sidThe swastika was not really "created" by the Nazis. "Perverted" might have been a better word. The swastika has been used in Buddhism and Hinduism for hundreds of years, and in many other cultures for thousands of years, prior to and alongside the evolution of Christianity. In Buddhism, it was a symbol of eternity, and its actual origins are unclear and varied. Unfortunately, it's now synonymous with Nazism and hatred, which is a real shame. But I felt the need to clear that up.
-- Contributed by: sidSomeone who is truly a follower of Jesus Christ would never have their body tattooed. According to the Bible, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit for those in Christ. (1 Cor. 6:19) We are to take care of our body. Tattooing goes totally against Biblical teaching. If you are a Christian and want to express your faith in Christ, getting a tattoo of a cross or any other religious symbol is not the way to go. If you really want to express your faith in Christ, tell someone what He has done for you.

-- Contributed by: SarahThe bible only says to not get marked of the dead. other than that it says nothing about not getting tattoos.
