i had both my feet tattooed each with a warrior head of diff sorts , yeah it hurt, but u know what , now i can say .look what i got mother ...er , match that , their awesome,, so to everyone harden the ... up,, there worth it , and yes u might have to get them re-done , i went back for the same treatment 7 wks later , just to really bring out the colour, why , because i wanted to be 100% proud of them , and thats what tatts are about , being proud of the decisions u make in life and saying to the world , ... u . no doubts go get them , they speak volumes,

I got the whole top of my left foot tattooed. It was the worse pain ive ever had. Ive had 2 kids and 9 tats from head to toe. I cant walk, its been 6 days. when i put my foot down it hurts lke a million needles being pushed into my skin and I have to flatten it up and down to get it to where I can finally walk on it. By the end of the day my ankle is sooooo swollen. What can I do??

I got a Butterfly on my right foot a few days ago , it's beautiful. It didn't hurt really that much, yea it hurt more than my ankle tat and I also have one on my hand.. but not nearly enough to stop me from getting another foot tat. I WILL TELL YOU THIS.. the recovery is not what I expected, my foot is swelled up pretty big, and the pain from the swelling hurts , and I having a lot of problems walking. I can't wear shoes, due to the swelling and it is very tender. I had to look this symptom up , because I was concerned!!! Now I see it is basically normal for some people. If you do want a foot tattoo, just keep in mind that you may have to take it easy for a few days, and to expect the swelling, it has been 2 days swelling for me so far. Hope my info helps :)

Just got a tat on my right foot that goes from the side all the way across. It didn't hurt that bad and it's healing really fast. I've just been wearing sandles and going barefoot. Don't be afriad to try the foot- I've had WAY worse pain than that

I have the entire top of my left foot covered with a very tribal butterfly and it was the most painful 2 hours of my life. and i have kids and many other tats, but it the most beautiful and most commented on. i adore it, but if i had it to do over, i wouldn't have gotten it there

i just got a tattoo on my left foot, above my baby toe.. it hurt a lot more than my other tattoos, but it wasn't unbearable. However, the after-effect is about 10x worse. It is extremely sore, and my foot is completely swollen from my toes, to my ankles. But I still love the design, and I love the overall look of foot tattoos.

My foot tattoo took forever to heal but didn't hurt any worse than my others tattoos. It was swollen like a balloon and hurt for about a week.

I have a tattoo's on both of my feet, the first one I got was only about the size of a half dollar. I didn't think the pain on that one was too bad. The second one covers the entire top part and sides of my foot. That was terrible!! The pain was unreal, however I would do it again because it turned out amazing.

I got my foot tat a week ago and I love it. Would I do it again probly not.. it hurt like heck. I have 2 other tats that didn't hurt at all but my foot more than made up for it. A foot tat is not a tat for a first timer but they are beautiful and worth it.

07/12/2008 I got a tat on my foot yesterday. I feel that it felt just the same as any other tattoo on your body.

I just got my first tattoo yesterday, i got in on my foot, my artist said i was very brave and that i handled it very well.i didnt know that it would swell up to double the size and have sadly had to work 2day, but it has been worth it. i love the tattoo and am already planning my next one!

I just got a full foot tattoo 3 days ago. I have 6 other tattoos in various spots on my body. Yes, the foot tat hurt like and SOB but that was nothing compared to the swelling the next day. My foot swelled so much that I could barely walk. Now the scab is starting to form and its just a weird feeling. Would I do it again, absolutely. Is it a good tattoo for someone who has never had a tat before, no. But it is the most beautiful tat I have gotten so far.

Both of my feet are heavily tattooed. Yes, they were painful, but I love them. They were worth every bit of pain and they healed up nicely. I would say, if you want a foot tattoo just go for it!

I got a foot tattoo today actually and it hurt like CRAZY! It is true that your foot will jerk and shake... but you have to keep it under control as best as you can. My tattoo artist said the best thing to do is just breathe deeply (so you don't pass out) and "just let it happen" don't tense up or it will make it worse. As hard as it is to do you have to relax.. I know.. easier said than done. ALso your leg might cramp up. I got a sparrow on my right foot with Luke12:6-7 above the one wing. I have to say that I LOVE IT and it was totally worth the pain!

Well im about to get a tattoo on my foot and after hearing all of the stories im having second thoughts. I already have quite a big one on my ankle and i didn't feel a thing. Any advice?

I got a tattoo on my right foot 2 weeks ago (A cluster of Hearts with an initial in one) I have to say it was the worst pain ever, i have 1 on my back and neck but nothing compares to the pain of getting your foot done (sorry but it's true) then again everyone is diffirent. 2 weeks on the scab is thicker than ever and slowly coming off, tbh the colour aint as bold as i thought it would be and i have had all my tattoo's for the same man and the others are great (Had 1 a few month and other 6 years) This one has taken longer to heal and colour aint as bold. My tattooist actually told me not to put anyting on it but i have been putting Tattoo after care on it, like vaseline, at nights. And have not had it covered. Lets hope it turns out ok and everyone is diffirent so you may not experience my pain (laughs) i was screaming!

I have a rosary that goes around my ankle and onto my foot. I'm not gonna lie, i have others and the top of your foot is not an exactly easy place to get a tattoo. It does hurt and your foot does tend to jerk a little because of nerves in your foot...You can't help it! All in all it was worth it though

I have a 4 leaf clover on my left foot, It didn't hurt that bad at all

I have a lotus on the top of my left foot and I love it. I've heard horror stories about the pain but I only found it uncomfortable. I took care of it like nobody's business but there is a spot or two where the ink didn't quite stay put. Plan on adding water and koi fish over time, having my own little pond :) Totally worth it!

I have a foot tat. on my left. I LOVE it! Got a rainbow playboy bunny and it is awesome. Most people say that it really hurts, I am 16 and the one on my back was worse than my foot.

I got one on the bottom of my foot the other day and it hurt really bad, but it was worth it.

Just got a foot tattoo on the top in the middle. Got a tribal mo'o (lizard) with three triangles in the spine. Went to a very trusting guy in Vegas (Sacred Center Tattoo) and he did a great job and is not too expensive. My two sisters and I got the same tattoo on the same spot because it was a sister tattoo that we decided to do. For me, it hurt reallllly bad! Today is almost the 3rd day with it and it still hurts. It is a little swollen but heard that is normal. I am wearing some mary jane croc shoes and or slippers to not cover it. I normally wear slippers so socks and shoes are not a factor for me in the healing process. I think that foot tattoos are nice and very beautiful if done right and if it has meaning. Just prepare for pain!!! But for us the pain was worth our sisterhood.  :)

I have to say when I got my first tattoo I chose to put in on my foot because it was easy to hide, but the artist had to change the position or where it was because he was afraid I was going to jump and possibly mess up. I have to say it did hurt a lot, but now, the otehrs I want to get won't seem to hurt as much. I turned out good, but i do have to get it touched up even though it still does look amazing!!
