i just recently got a tattoo. n had a few bumps in my armpit. then 3 days later a huge pus pocket on my hip where the tattoo was. omg its so painful

My friend's brother got a tattoo 4 weeks ago. He is now in a hospital fighting for his life. He's already had damage to a valve in his heart and clots in his brain that will cause damage, though they're not sure how much. Nothing is working on this MRSA-a infection. He is 25 years old with 3 daughters and he is not expected to live. My words of advice? Pay strict attention to both your tattoo artist's sanitary techniques and your home care of your new tattoo.

My son and I got tattooed a month ago we got our tat below our collar bone and 2 weeks later I broke out under my arm (I thought it was an ingrown hair) I was wrong 2 days after that my boy broke out in the same manner these lumps were very painful until one popped and the puss that came out of that thing made me ill. Two days later I went to dr. because more kept coming then I got one on my chin and then I got a painful sty in my eye I took my son to urgent care with me and it turned out to be MRSA I am glad we caught the infection in time My son went to school with Aston Bond the boy who passed away last year in VA. i got a tattoo about a week ago.i have 9 tattoos total and all of them turned out great.the last one that i got became severely infected and painful. and now there is red bumps around them that look like pimples and they itch and hurt.it started off only around my tattoo but now it has spread around my whole arm and is also on my leg. i went to the doctor and they told me that it was a type of staph but didnt tell me what kind and if it was serious. do you know what kind of staph that it could be? thank you, chelsey

sorry , to bother my mother -in law had got a tat almost a year ago,and just that was red, swelled up it got full of pus, the doctor just looked at it and said she was allergic to red ink. She's had more tats and everytime she goes to get one the artist usaully will flush out the red it gets better then she'll wake up and there it is again. It becomes severly painfull for her when it swells up. belive me it is gross! i have seen it swell as big as a small plum,have you seen anyone contract MRSA through a tat? Should I tell her to see a different doctor b/c she gets other tats and that would be potenial risk to other people.thank you for your time, Gina Martin.

So I am presently tattooing out of the back room of a Gym. Do I have safety concerns I should be aware about from this MRSA? I use an autoclave and clean my work area...
