I work @ tattoo shop and have been pierced ALOT ya placement has somewhat to do with it personal expereance i say it just depends on you (the person geting the piercing)

Db4027, as you know, often people experience different side effects with piercings. Sometimes the placement of the piercing can be painful or cause it to heal slower. Sorry about your painful experience! Hope it's all better now!
