I am very artistic and i thought of airbrushing as a career but i lost interest in it quick as its so expensive even for the beginners equipment. i have a few tattoos and they suck because the artist was a *****.i know i am a good artist and people deserve proper service and care. where can i find the best tattoo and piercing training books and dvds to be sure i learn the techniques properly because i live in Ireland and there are no courses here.

So you are saying buy the kit off of ebay to get started but then for all replacement supplies or anything else you need go somewhere else?

I live in the uk & am looking to buy a beginners kit. Any suggestions? I've seen lots on ebay really cheap from china. are these dodgy?

I've bought from Technical Tattoo Supply before and wasn't impressed with their service. If you give them a residential address, they jack up the prices (and I went to their storefront to buy supplies!).

Now I pretty much order from and occasionally visit Unimax Supply in NYC. Their service is awesome and their prices are great. They also have a few kits to choose from.

Superior Tattoo has some decent kits for the price but their prices on everything else are crap. So just buy the kit and get your supplies elsewhere.

Just to let everyone know. We ordered a kit from New York Tattoo. The kit we ordered came with ink. The kit came with ink. the kit we got didn't have ink. My wife has been trying to get a reply from about a month only one reply. We will check into it and get back with you in a day or two. Still haven't heard from them. The kit we got isn't listed anywhere on their website. I'll keep in touch and let you know what the results are. The order was sent from Technical Tattoo Supply. So I guess this is a rating for New York Tattoo and not a good one at this time. Hammerhead
